FAQ: Doula
A Doula is historically a female servent. A current labor doula serves a mother-to-be prior to, during, and after labor by providing emotional, mental, physical, and informational support about the birth process, and helps her create the birth she most desires. The doula assists the family create a birth plan, provides information about birth options and resources and provide emotional support through pregnancy.
